Introduction
The village of Vranisht is a settlement , since ancient times. Its population is a continuation of the Illyrian-Pelasgians. It is among the few autochthonous villages in Vlora River Valley, in the province of Labëria. The City of Hora existed as early as 3000 years ago. A town with a castle and urban planning, such as water supply chain, ceramic works, etc. In the southeast of the village, at the height of 700 meters, is a natural fortification, which was adapted to human work. "Guri i Qytezes", was a safe place of civil society, in times of war. With dimensions: Length 80 meters, Width 20 meters and height 25 meters, it guarantees their safety. There was only one entrance, which also serves as an exit. The very name that it still bears today clearly shows that the population of the town of Hora took refuge in thus location. 200 meters above this shelter, there is "Guri me Qiell", which is declared the Dolmen of Humanity.
The village has 5 neighborhoods: Mëhalla e Vranishtiotëve, Mëhalla e Gjikës, Mëhalla e Ali Kondit, Mëhalla e Gjokës, Mëhalla e Reçit. The inhabitants of this village stand out for their rare values in art and culture. The polyphonic group of Labe songs of this village is well known all over the world, mostly for its unique dance.
Our Village
Vranisht is a village with patriotic and cultural traditions in the area of Labëria. There are 360 families who still have their houses and properties in this village. Vranishti is one of the largest villages on the territory of the Vlora River, it comes second after Kuci. People have started to return from the cities and emigration and they are rebuilding their homes and investing in property. Vranishti is one of the most picturesque villages of Labëria. Nature has given him all the good things. We have mountains, landscapes, fields and rivers. There is livestock that still stands out for its organic quality because the shepherd’s keep their cattle in the mountains. Vranishti also has many guesthouses at the service of visitors. They are masters of making grape brandy ( Raki ) and wine. There is a traditional cuisine based on meat products, but also seasonal dishes. They are masters of grilling meat, mostly lamb and baby goats. Vranishti is also known for the traditional song and dance. There were and there are still a polyphonic group and there are well-known names of the rifle and the pen.

- Vali i Bogonices: a large picturesque field on Mount Bogonica
- Vali i Bufit: a large picturesque field on Cika mountain
- Gurra: one of the highest sources in Albania, at 1500 meters altitude
- Guri me Qiell or Vranishti Dolomite: A giant massif rock standing on two other rocks. It is a strange phenomenon that is attracting many visitors.
- Guri i Qytetes: a large rock massif used since Illyrian times for shelter population in wartime.
- Shpella e Zezë: a refuge for partisans, the cave is a very special place to visit.
- The old town of the city of Hora. Hora is the neighborhood of Vranishti on the edge of the river Shushica. In the land of Hora we can find today remains of an ancient Illyrian town.
- Islam Beg Castle: a bridge where the irrigation water for the lands of Vranishti passes, built in the time of Ali Pasha Tepelena and which has withstood time the best. It is located on Kauri stream.
- Shtegu i Lejlerëve: a sacred place believed to cure many diseases, is located in Bogonica Mountain.
- Mountain hiking route from Vranishti to Malin e Cika, to Qore and to Llogara (and vice versa).

- Itinerary of the mountain walk is Vranisht – Bogonica Mountain – Visha Stream – Himarë.
- Shushica River with its beauty and purity in the area between Vranishti and Bolena, can be used for fishing or sunbathing. It resembles Shala River, especially a little further down in the area of Brataj.
- Teqeja e Numan Tahirit: place of prayers.
- Vranishti also has several sources of mountain water. These are: Source of Alikonde, Burohoni, Vurgjidhi, etc. The village spring, carefully built more than 200 years ago it's worth a visit. It is thought that this source besides irrigating the lands (which is done even today) supplied water to the old town of Hora. Nona's spring in the neighborhood Hora, it has become a vacation spot for tourists (one of the coldest waters in the republic).
