Introduction

The village of Vranisht is a settlement , since ancient times. Its population is a continuation of the Illyrian-Pelasgians. It is among the few autochthonous villages in Vlora River Valley, in the province of Labëria. The City of Hora existed as early as 3000 years ago. A town with a castle and urban planning, such as water supply chain, ceramic works, etc. In the southeast of the village, at the height of 700 meters, is a natural fortification, which was adapted to human work. "Guri i Qytezes", was a safe place of civil society, in times of war. With dimensions: Length 80 meters, Width 20 meters and height 25 meters, it guarantees their safety. There was only one entrance, which also serves as an exit. The very name that it still bears today clearly shows that the population of the town of Hora took refuge in thus location. 200 meters above this shelter, there is "Guri me Qiell", which is declared the Dolmen of Humanity.

The village has 5 neighborhoods: Mëhalla e Vranishtiotëve, Mëhalla e Gjikës, Mëhalla e Ali Kondit, Mëhalla e Gjokës, Mëhalla e Reçit. The inhabitants of this village stand out for their rare values in art and culture. The polyphonic group of Labe songs of this village is well known all over the world, mostly for its unique dance.
